“Smoothie: a creamy beverage made of fruit blended with juice, milk, or yogurt”. Merriam-Webster
A smoothie is a thick and creamy beverage made from pureed raw fruit, vegetables, and sometimes dairy products (i.e. milk, yogurt, ice-cream), using a blender. Smoothies may also contain other ingredients (i.e. water, crushed ice, fruit juice, sweeteners, nuts, seeds, tea, chocolate, or nutritional supplements). A smoothie containing dairy products is similar to a milkshake, but they are two different products: a smoothie is made mainly with fruit, while a milkshake typically contains less fruit and a larger quantity of diary products.
